The Courtyard of Europe in Komárno

Courtyard of Europe is the name for a unique architectural work in Komárno, Slovakia. The buildings on the new 6500 m2 square are stylishly designed and represent historic architecture typical of each part of Europe.

Komárno

The historical center of Komárno and the Courtyard of Europe are interconnected by gates, St. Stephen’s Gate, Bela IV’s Gate and Maria Theresa’s Gate. The gate of Matej I opens from the inside of the Zichy Palace park.

In the middle of the square stands a functional copy of the original well, which stood on the main square, in front of the town hall until 1878.a
