In the village of Slovenská Ľupča is a natural monument Ľupčiansky mushroom rock. In the past, it was known as Kozák. In its surroundings you can find other valuable nature, especially fossils of marine animals, proving the former presence of the sea in the area.

The value of the area is increased by the occurrence of several thermophilic species. For instance plants, such as the white pea, pincushion, jagavka and others. There is a more problematic approach to the Ľupčiansky mushroom rock, as there is no official hiking trail leading to it.
